- Get to know your water meter. If the numbers on it are turning while no water is being used in your home, you could have a leak. If you’re not sure where your water meter is, call CMF on 1300 304 463.
- Check for leaking taps. Fixing a leaking tap is an easy way to use less water. One leaking tap can waste up to 2,000 litres a month. Have CMF Plumbing replace washers as soon as taps begin to leak.
- Prevent leaks by not turning taps off too hard.
- Have CMF Plumbing check for, and repair, any leaking pipes. CMF Plumbing can see and check pipes around the hot water heater, washing machine, dishwasher, and even under flooring and above the ceiling.
