We replaced a 3-4 meter section of 40mm copper hot water flow pipe on a large block of units at Abbotsford. We cut a hole into the service duct to be able to remove the old pipe and install the new section of copper pipe.
We ran the new 40mm copper pipe into the false ceiling space of the unit below, joining onto another newer section of 40mm copper pipe.
This is the bottom of the riser which we replaced and reconnected the 20mm dropper going to the hot water meters for the six units on the lower levels.
We lagged all the new copper hot water flow pipe.
We bricked up and rendered the access hole that we had cut into the service duct.
