CMF Plumbing changed the existing faulty tempering valve which was not delivering hot water in Ryde NSW. A tempering valve mixes hot and cold water to give tempered water at a temperature of no more than 50C to prevent scalding.
They are required by law on all new washing bathroom fixtures re hand basins and showers.
They are highly recommended to be installed (if not already) on old houses with young children or elderly people to prevent scalding
